Under Matt’s leadership, Galaxy Homes has been giving back to the community for years working with some of the finest not-for-profit organizations in DC and MD. Matt currently serves as Board Member and Chair of the Construction Committee of the Patuxent Habitat for Humanity. Additional service projects include:
- Serving as a project manager and construction crew member with Habitat for Humanity, Matt has helped build more than seven new homes and renovation projects.
“Matt consistently goes above and beyond what is expected of him as Habitat for Humanity’s Construction Manager. Habitat uses a largely volunteer work force to build our houses, some of whom are highly skilled and some that require a great deal of training. Matt provides excellent direction getting our houses built. He brings our projects in on time and on budget every time, and I would highly recommend his work to anybody!”
– Pam Shubert, Former Executive Director, Patuxent Habitat for Humanity
Director of Philanthropy at Collington Episcopal Life Care Community
- After the completion of the Sasha Bruce RE*Generation House for homeless teens in SE Washington, Matt has continued to volunteer and support the work of this wonderful organization. Matt has served alongside Sasha Bruce youth to install vegetable gardens and presented to groups of teens interested in construction careers.
